Don Quixote is a classic novel by Miguel de Cervantes that tells the story of a man who loses his sanity from reading too many chivalric romances and decides to become a knight-errant. He embarks on a series of adventures with his faithful squire, Sancho Panza, who often tries to bring him back to reality. Along the way, he encounters many characters and situations that challenge his delusional worldview and test his ideals of honor, love, and justice. The novel is a satire of the medieval genre of chivalry and a commentary on the human condition, as well as a masterpiece of Spanish literature. Written in 1605, it is amazingly contemporary in its theme.
